Which caseback should I choose for the GS Watch Case 39mm v2?

The caseback does two jobs: it matches your movement family (Seiko NH, Swiss ETA2824/2893, or Sellita SW200/260/330) and sets the back style. Choose solid for the slimmest profile at 12.8mm, or the sapphire (exhibition) caseback at 13.3mm to show the movement. The matching movement spacer and caseback ship with your pick.

A clean dress case in the Grand Seiko idiom — sharp facets, a slim polished bezel, dial-forward proportions — sized at a confident 39mm.

Built around a selectable caseback, so one case fits five movement families: Seiko NH, Swiss ETA2824 and ETA2893, and Sellita SW200, SW260 and SW330. Pick the caseback for your movement and the matching spacer and caseback ship with it.

The sapphire crystal is already pressed in and a screw-down crown is fitted, so the case arrives ready for dial, hands and movement. Designed to fit our 28.5mm dials, an SKX013 chapter ring, and original NH movements on the grey dial holding spacer. NH34 GMT-ready.

All three are the same GS platform — 316L steel, 200m / 20 ATM, a double-domed sapphire pre-installed, 28.5mm dials, an SKX013 chapter ring, and a 20mm bracelet or strap. The 39 and the Diver are NH34 GMT-ready; the 36mm dress runs NH35/36/38 plus Swiss ETA and Sellita.

This case ships with the sapphire crystal pre-installed and a screw-down crown fitted. The dial, hands, chapter ring and movement are chosen separately — build it to fit our full dial range .

Chapter ring. This case needs an SKX013 chapter ring to seat the dial correctly — it is mandatory and never included. It takes both normal and ultra thin chapter rings; the choice depends on your dial, not the case. If your dial has applied (raised) indices, pick an ultra thin chapter ring for clearance; a flat-printed dial works with either. Browse SKX013 chapter rings .
