    Introducing The Great Fathom Dial, a design specially made taking inspiration from the original Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.

    The process of producing this dial was no easy task. This is essentially two different dimension dials sandwiched as one. Both dials are process separated, stamped separately, brushed separately, coated black separately, applying indices separately and finally pinning both dials together.

    In order to retain the quality and enriching the effect of the modern design, the top layer dial is finished with a sunburst brushed black effect while the bottom layer dial is finished with a radiant brushed black effect. Thus, giving a cross-directional reflection in the presence of light.

    What's more, silver polish applied indices are filled with multiple layers of 100% Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 luminous pigment. Not forgetting a non-intrusive and functional date window located between 4 and 5 o'clock.

    Note: With 2 dials sandwiched as one, due to the thickness of this dial, it takes a highly skilled and experience individual to set hands onto the movement with this dial. This dial is NOT recommended for novice or individual without a professional hand setting tool.

    Gorgeous fifty fathoms hommage dial

    The fit and finish of this dial is amazing. It adds a lot of depth and detail to the watch. This is the best rendition of this kind of dial out there in my opinion.

    Despite the warnings, I went with this dial even though I had no prior experience with modding watches. I just proceeded with care, made sure I used the correct hand setting tool, and held the hands with a piece of rodico putty instead of using tweezers. This way I managed to install the hands without scratching the dial.

    Buy it while you can !

    Beautiful dial, a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. The Lume is great, and it looks just like the 55fathoms dial. the pictures don’t do it justice, you have to see the dial in person to get the full effect of the 2layer dial. This was worth every penny and more.

    Hi, it is mentioned that it needs some skills to install this, because of the thickness of the dial.
    So is there any newbie, who manage to install this successfully? any advice or not worth to try to do myself as a newbie?

    No novice has ever bought this dial. Not that I am aware of. However, so far 4 experienced modders have scratched the dial. I do not recommend this dial to novice though. If you really want this dial, i recommend getting a mod specialist to do it for you.
