Stardust Series

Stardust Series Questions, Answered

Everything worth knowing before you build — finish, lume, movements, and which Stardust fits your case.

What is the Stardust series?

The Stardust series is our family of glitter-in-enamel dials — pitch-black glossy enamel scattered with iridescent flake, with angled applied indices that catch the light as the wrist moves. It began in 2020 and spans date, no-date, day-date, open heart, and GMT. Every dial is a limited edition and is retired for good once it sells out.

Which Stardust dials have lume?

Most are non-lume — the shimmer comes from the iridescent flake in the enamel, not from lume. The one exception is the Submariner GMT Stardust, which fills its applied indices with Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 Grade A for a blue glow.

Which movement does each Stardust need?

The standard three-hand dials run on the NH35, NH36, or NH38 (No Date dials also take NH70 / NH71 / NH72). The Day-Date needs the NH36. The v3 Open Heart runs on the NH38 family (also NH70 / NH71 / NH72). The two GMT dials — Submariner GMT Stardust and Grand Seiko GMT Stardust — are cut for the Seiko NH34 and its wider 2.7mm centre hole; a standard NH35 will not drive the GMT complication.

Will this dial fit my case?

Yes, almost certainly. This is a standard 28.5mm dial — the industry-standard size for Seiko mod builds. It fits any case designed for a 28.5mm dial, whether that's a Bauhaus 33, an SKX013, or another aftermarket case. The matched case shown with a dial is an aesthetic pairing, not a fitment requirement.

Can this GMT dial run on an NH35 or NH36?

It's made for the NH34 GMT movement. It will physically sit on an NH35 or NH36 — but the dial's centre hole is the wider 2.7mm bore the NH34's GMT pinion needs, and a standard hour hand often isn't broad enough to cover it, so the movement shows through the gap. A cosmetic trade-off; for a clean result, use the NH34.

Is this a limited edition — will it be restocked?

Yes, it's a limited edition, and it will not be restocked. Once the run sells out it's retired for good. The edition size is shown on the product page.
