The Stardust Dial. Glossy Black Enamel. Day & Date.

A highly glossy black enamel ground scattered with iridescent flecks that catch the light like distant stars across a night sky, finished with angled, mirror-polished silver applied indices. The day-date layout adds the full calendar complication to the celestial face.

No two are ever quite alike — the flecks fall differently on every dial, so each piece carries its own constellation.

Will this dial fit my case?

Yes, almost certainly. This is a standard Seiko mod dial — 28.5mm in diameter and 0.4mm thick, the industry-standard size — so it fits most, if not all, Seiko cases. Where a dial is shown with a particular case, that's an aesthetic pairing, not a fitment requirement. If you're unsure, the surest check is to remove your current dial and measure it with a vernier caliper.

How is this legless dial seated?

This version ships without dial legs and is seated by manual alignment during assembly, which gives flexibility on positioning but takes a steadier hand — best handled by an experienced modder.

Does this dial work with a normal or an ultra thin chapter ring?

Both our normal and ultra thin chapter rings fit this dial. Where a dial has applied (raised) indices, they sit within the clearance of either ring — so the choice is purely about looks: the ultra thin chapter ring sits low and discreet, while the normal sits a little more pronounced. Pick whichever suits your style.

Are the markers applied or printed?

Applied. The hour markers are applied (raised) indices — raised metal on the dial surface, not flat print. The relief is what gives the face its depth and light play as the wrist moves.

Does this dial have lume?

No — this dial carries no lume. If you want the watch to glow in the dark, pair it with a set of lumed hands; the glow then comes from the hands rather than the dial face.

What's the difference between the Stardust versions?

The Stardust face is shared; the versions differ by complication — Date, No Date, Day-Date (NH36), Open Heart (NH38), and GMT (NH34). Match the version to your movement; the comparison table on each page lays them out.

Can you remove the logo from the dial?

Our dials carry the logo on an adhesive backing rather than a stamped or engraved mark, so it isn't baked into the surface — but removing one cleanly isn't realistic. The adhesive doesn't release without scratching or marking the dial, and the risk is greatest on enamel. We sell our dials as-is and don't modify them. You're welcome to remove it yourself or have a modding specialist do it, just knowing the face will likely pick up some cosmetic marks.

Is this a limited edition / will it be restocked?

Yes, it's a limited edition, and it won't be restocked. Once the run sells out it's retired for good. The edition size is shown on the product page.

Are hands included with this dial?

No — dials and hands are sold separately. This listing is for the dial only; choose a matching handset to complete the build. If your dial is lumed, pairing it with lumed hands in the same lume type keeps the whole face glowing together.

Excellent dial

Thank you to Adriel for answering my questions promptly. And the delivery was fast. This is my first mod, I bought the SPRD76 few years back just because I want to mod. This dial was too good not to get it. Took me awhile to get other parts that I want before modding. Overall was a really good experience. Took sometime to get a good shot under good lighting, guess what lift lights are the best.

Stardust dial

Beautiful dial with interesting colours and texture. Though it is smooth, the dial has a glitter effect with different colours blue red and green appearing at different angles which gives more depth to it. The dial is mesmerizing to look at, especially when moving the watch around. The appearance of the dial is excellent and really fits well with the dressy look I was going for. The delivery was quick and well packaged. The dial came in a rigid plastic case and finger gloves were provided. There was also a nice handwritten note from the seller.
Installing the dial was a bit troublesome with extra feet to remove. My dial was slightly too low with the 3 o clock feet and I removed all the feet and stuck the dial on instead. However, I received pretty good communication with customer service and I received confirmation that my dial was part of a small batch that had misaligned feet. I was offered the chance for my build to be completed for me. I did decline as I wanted to do it myself, but thanks for offering.
Additionally, I wish more parts that synergize with this dial were sold here such as more case options and baton hands for dress watches and dark day date wheels to colour match this dial. I built a diy watch from scratch with a seiko movement instead of modding a seiko watch, and sourced the other components from aftermarket sources. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Amazing dial and a lot of fun. Very high quality black, glossy dial. The iridescent glitter is very vibrant. The applied logo is a big improvement.

Stunning dial

The dial was better than I imagined. The particular one I got had much more blue than the picture, but it looks great.

These dials are absolutely beautiful. They fit perfectly with normal slight adjustment of pegs. Alignment of the day/date window is perfect. The sparkle is something that needs to be seen in person, the pictures don’t do it justice.
Lucius Atelier was great with communication and customer service was impeccable. I did need to use their customer service and in the end everything was handled 100% to my satisfaction. I will buy more watch dials. Thank you!!
