SEIKO 5 SNKK87 Mother of Pearl Mod #XXX268

Notify me when this product is available:

Mother of Pearl, also known as nacre, is the iridescent lining you find on the inside of a shell. Its most distinguishing characteristic is its iridescence, which appears to gradually change colour as the angle of view or the angle of illumination changes.

This iridescent quality of mother of pearl perpetually possess a mesmerising wide spectrum of colours, from red tone to green, blue and yellow tones. A beauty highly coveted in the watch industry.

This SEIKO 5 SNKK87 is an automatic self-winding mechanical watch featuring a 38mm diameter stainless stain case modified with (i) Mother of Pearl Diver's Dial (Date), (ii) flat sapphire crystal and (iii) Mercedes hands.

Using this mod part for: SNKK87
Stunning, One of a Kind watch

The Mother of Pearl dial is very well done, photos do not capture the uniqueness of each dial.

Once the watch is in hand you can clearly see the quality of material and the attention to the craft. The dial and markers are all perfectly aligned.

I also have the Lumed Wave Dial. These two watches have had the most compliments out of my collection.

Many Thanks,
Jason

Hi Francois,

Thank you for reaching out and expressing interest in our mod parts!

Everything in that build exists and works together. The Explorer 39mm case has a screw-down crown and a 200m rating, the Submariner Black Mother of Pearl dial is genuine black mother of pearl with applied indices filled with Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 Grade A, and the Mercedes v2 hands come in polished black with the same BGW9 lume. You will also need a chapter ring, a crown and an NH movement to complete the watch.

If you would like it built rather than shipped as loose parts, tick the Assemble Watch option on the case page when you order and it comes assembled from my workshop.

You do not need a quote — every part is priced on its own page, and the cart shows the full total including shipping before you pay. I have also replied to you by email, so we can go through the parts list there if that is easier.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
Adriel

Does the piece come back in stock often? As i would like to purchase one.

Hi Ali,

Thank you for expressing interest in our mod parts!

Unfortunately, the specific Mother of Pearl dial used in that SNKK87 mod actually sold out quite a few years ago, so that exact piece won't be coming back into stock.

However, the great news is that we can easily build you a custom timepiece based on your own selections! If you are interested in creating something similar (or entirely unique), here is how we can get started:

1. Select a Case
Start by browsing our Watch Cases here: https://luciusatelier.com/collections/watch-cases
If you love the look of the SNKK87, the closest option we currently offer is the Explorer II Watch Case - 36mm [NH34-Ready]: https://luciusatelier.com/products/explorer-ii-watch-case-36mm-nh34-ready

2. Choose a Dial
Next, take a look through our entire catalog of Dials to see what catches your eye: https://luciusatelier.com/collections/dials-swiss-quality-seiko-mod-parts

3. Pick Your Parts (or Let Me Help!)
If you know exactly what you are doing, you can simply go ahead and select the rest of the components you want for your build (hands, chapter ring, crown, movement, and bracelet).

If you aren't sure what else is required, no problem at all! Just reply to this message with the case and dial you prefer, and we can work together from there to figure out the remaining parts needed to assemble your complete timepiece.

Let me know what you think, and I look forward to potentially helping you build something special!

Best regards,
Adriel
