Broad, flat-faceted hour and minute hands — the snowflake profile exists to carry lume, and wears it with the confidence of a proper sport watch. v2 brings redesigned dimensions for a cleaner sweep across the dial.

Each hand is filled with 100% Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9 — Grade A, the highest-grade BGW9 on the market — laid down in multiple layers for a long-lasting blue glow, set against a mirror-polished silver finish.

Lume pairs perfectly with our BGW9 parts.
Pair with a BGW9-lumed dial and the build glows as one piece, not an assembly.

Will these hands fit my movement?

Check the Fit Movements list in the Specs tab against your caliber. The handset fits a wide range of Seiko movements — including 7S, 4R, 6R, NE and NH families — because they share a common pinion pattern. If your caliber is on the list, these hands fit.

What are the pinion sizes?

Hour 1.50mm, minute 0.88mm, second 0.198mm. The pinion is the hole at the base of each hand that presses onto the movement — these dimensions match the standard Seiko pinion pattern shared across the calibers in the fit list.

Can I use these on a GMT (NH34) build?

The hour, minute and second hands fit the NH34. A GMT build also needs a separate GMT hand, which is not included in this set.

Do the hands come with lume?

Yes — these hands are filled with 100% Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9 Grade A, for a long-lasting blue glow at night, with a clean metal finish for daytime wear.

Why are the Snowflake hands prone to cracking, and are they hard to install?

The Snowflake's hour hand has a broad, flat face built up with multiple layers of BGW9 lume — the bright glow is exactly what makes it more installation-sensitive than a slimmer handset. Pressed with too little finesse, or without a proper hand-setting tool, the lume bed can crack. Seat the hands slowly and squarely with the right tool; for this reason the Snowflake is best suited to experienced modders rather than a first build. Cracking from installation is handling damage, not a manufacturing fault.

Polished silver watch hands praised for "outstanding" lume quality and "incredible" finish. Customers consistently highlight excellent craftsmanship and strong luminescence. V2 improvements addressed earlier lume concerns. One shopper noted lume slightly less bright than matching dial. Overall, "top quality" hands with "perfect" fit and finish.

Very Impressed

To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure the hands would be worth their cost, but I was dead wrong. The finish and lume are incredible, and the service from purchase to delivery was conscientious and quick. I've gotten plenty of hands in my brief time modding, and these are by far the best.

The snowflake hands is pretty nice. Just the lume is not as bright as snowflake dial. Overall still nice hands.

Hey Patrick! Thanks for the review!! Actually it is not that the hands are not bright. It is that the snowflake dial is brighter because the snowflake dial uses A Grade BGW9 - the highest grade lume, while the hands are Standard Grade BGW9. This have been explained in the dial description. If all is Standard Grade, it will look very bright, if all is A Grade, it will also look very bright. However, if you mix 2 different grades, 1 will look brighter than the other. Hope this make sense to you =)

Beautiful hands but too tight.

It breaks my heart to rate these 2 stars they are GORGEOUS and the color is great. I just could not for the life of me get the minute hand on square. I'm new to modding but have done a good 7 or so watches so far and while I struggle with the seconds hand I usually have no issue with the minute. I made a real mess of this hand set and could not get it to sit square on the pinion no matter what. Everytime I touched it with the hand tool it would slip a fraction of a mm and after 3 attempts I ruined it. Will try to find another BGW9 snow flake hand set. But LA have set a VERY high bar in terms of looks finish and style. I will order another set and leave an updated review if the work better for me.

Perfect match

These V2 hands really are a perfect match for the Deep Diver dial. When they're not charged the white lume plots are exactly the same colour. When they're glowing the blue is exactly the same hue and the same intensity. It makes your modded watch look properly integrated. Dial and hands are very well made and they're certainly worth the asking price.

Remarkable quality

I had the first generation of these hands. Although the fit and finish was excellent, the lume a little underwhelming, if I'm honest. That has been fixed here. This is a top notch hand set. Everything matches perfectly, and the fit & finish are again perfect. Worth every penny.

A little diappointed

Received the hands yesterday. When I opened the package, I discovered that the finishing is a little rough and unpolished on the edges. Also even though the pictures show that the hands blend with the dial, through the naked eye, the hands looks dimmer than the indices on the matching dial. Finally I wished that the hour hand is wider and stubbier like the actual snowflake hour hand on the Black Bay.

Although these hands are much better than other hands I bought, I'm still not sure I can recommend them considering the negatives I mentioned above.
