The SKX Diver at 42mm — Seiko NH and Swiss Movements in One Case.
The Diver Watch Case 42mm is our SKX007-spec dive case, engineered to take two very different movements: the full range of Seiko NH calibers, and high-end Swiss movements — the ETA2893 and Sellita SW330. One case body, two build routes.
It keeps the submariner-style crown guard and SKX silhouette modders know, and it fits every one of our SKX007 mod parts — chapter rings and aftermarket parts. The screw-down crown and caseback are unique to this case and come included.
Supplied as a donor case body and rated to 200m, so you choose the bezel, insert, crystal and chapter ring that suit your build.
Two movement families, one case body.
Run a Seiko NH build, or step up to the Swiss ETA2893 or Sellita SW330 — the matching gold movement spacer and caseback come with that selection. Few aftermarket cases take both.
SKX007 proportions, 22mm lugs.
Diameter 42mm, lug-to-lug 45.5mm, 22mm lugs. Full-size SKX007 presence with a submariner-style crown guard.
Fits every SKX007 mod part we make.
Our SKX007 chapter rings and aftermarket parts fit as tested, alongside our 28.5mm dials and hands. Tested on our own parts.
Seiko NH or Swiss ETA2893 / SW330.
NH35, NH36, NH37, NH38, NH39, NH70 and NH71 fit directly. For a Swiss build, the ETA2893 or Sellita SW330 seats on a dedicated gold movement spacer with its own caseback.

Chapter ring. A SKX007-spec chapter ring seats the dial at the correct height. Browse compatible chapter rings .
Dial, hands & movement. The face, hands and engine are chosen separately. Match the dial and hands to your movement (date / day-date / no-date).
Your screw-down crown and caseback are already included — they’re unique to this case and aren’t sold elsewhere.
Casebacks are NOT interchangeable between NH and ETA2893 / SW330
Each caseback is threaded to a different height to match its movement. Fitting an ETA2893 / SW330 caseback onto a case running an NH movement will damage the NH movement. Always match the caseback to your movement.
The ETA2893 and SW330 are expert-level builds. They run a fourth hand and leave roughly 40% less clearance between the hands than an NH caliber, so hand-setting is far less forgiving. Unless you’re a seasoned modder or a certified watchmaker, we’d steer you to the NH route.

This is a donor dive case body. Choose the bezel, insert, crystal and chapter ring on this page, then add the dial, hands and movement to finish the build.

The case body, your chosen caseback, the screw-down crown (unique to this case), bezel click spring, caseback gasket, crystal gasket and two fat spring bars. For an ETA2893 / SW330 build, a gold movement spacer is included with that selection.

- Decorated bridge + rotor (only visible with a sapphire caseback) — replace the stock NH bridge and rotor with our Côtes de Genève decorated set, viewable through the caseback. Our bridges fit only our rotors (not OEM Seiko rotors), so they’re chosen as a pair. Recommended for experienced modders only.

Great case. For those who want something better than NH movements for their creations there are lots of aftermarket cases for ETA 2824/SW200 but basically nothing for the far superior ETA 2892/3 SW300. Very thankful to Lucius Atelier for making this o option available. A thin 39mm diver case for ETA 2892 next please!

Using this mod part for: Custom Build
I ended up in a different place with this build than where I started. Originally just an upgrade mod to a Seiko 5KX, it developed into a full custom build with the Nautilus 6 o'clock date dial and matching date wheel from Lucius. The case just demanded a higher quality of all parts involved to match the finish and quality. In fact the only parts on this final product not from this site are the bezel and the strap. I'm really happy with the overall result.

Love the case. Everything fits the way it’s supposed to. If I had one complaint is that the bezel makes the watch very thick. It’s be nice to have a submariner type lower profile. Otherwise it makes a nice GmT watch.

Polished and brushed top lug-surface makes a distinct transition. The crown guard and crown are almost flush and proportional, which makes it looks cool and stand out from other 3 o'clock crown guards. Short lug to lug is great.
Zero problem with fit and finish. I however didn't use the supplied case back gasket which was subpar quality/fit.

First time I was using a sub case style for a mod. So I have to choose the best quality for this and here we go. All parts match smooth with this case, no problem during the build. The caseback close perfectly the case.
Very high quality caseset, highly, recommended for quality mod on skx base.

Using this mod part for: Seiko SRPD71K2
I've used custom cases from 4-5 different sellers and this, my second from Lucius Atelier, is as nice or nicer than anything I've seen. High quality finishes, precise and refined edges and details and a high-end appearance are among the pros. My one con is that other manufacturers bezels, including one from a Seiko 5 SRPD, are a very tight fit and difficult to work with. I recommend getting a bezel from the same seller.

Using this mod part for: 007 / aftermarket cases
I have been looking for a case for the ETA 2893-2 movement. Purchased this one - I goofed on the order (didn't choose 2893 option but I mentioned it in the comments) - Lucius contacted me asking me which I wanted. He corrected my error and sent my order out immediately. This case is beautiful and very well finished. can't wait to get it all together. Looking forward to a case adapter for the 36mm case (hint hint wink wink) for either a 2824 or 2893

I see that this case includes a caseback. Is it a slim caseback? Are the caseback for the NH case interchangeable with a standard slim SKX007 caseback?

This case comes with a standard solid caseback.
On whether it's interchangeable with a standard slim SKX007 caseback — I have to be honest with you, I don't know. I don't build my parts around fitting other people's third-party components, so I can't tell you whether one will thread in correctly.

It says the crystal is not in stock, please can you give me the specs for the correct crystal to source else where? I intend to use ETA 2893 for this.

The sapphire crystal for the 42mm SKX007/Submariner case is 31.5mm in diameter — that's the SKX007-family size, so any correctly-dimensioned 31.5mm sapphire will seat in the case.

What is the thickness of this with crystal and caseback installed?

We no longer sell SKX007 crystals, so the total thickness of the Diver Watch Case – 42mm (with crystal and caseback installed) will depend on the type of crystal you choose and source separately. Different crystal profiles (flat, double domed, high domed, etc.) will result in different final thicknesses.

Will an nh34 fit in this?

In short, there are no known cases in the market that will fit NH34 for now. Simply because NH34 requires significantly more crystal clearance which most NH35/36/38 cases are not designed that way.
The best option is to wear a couple of months for GMT-ready cases, dials and 24H hands to be out before considering modding with NH34. Afterall, these are the 3 components that are required and none are available for now.
