This was the main component I used in my first build, an all-black watch. Combined with the Velvet Black Dial (No Date), Pilot Hands - BG29 - Polished Black, and a regulated NH36 movement, purchased with the intent of being able to swap out dials and hands later, if I wanted.
The case itself is very nice, and while fitting the bracelet, I would have normally expected scratches near the lugs, due to my lack of expertise with replacing bands on watches, the DLC surfacing held up VERY nicely, and I wasn't able to see any scratches.
The case was a very snug fit to the movement and ring, and while I appreciate it once the movement and spacer were inserted, it did make the process of adding them a tad tricky.
The bracelet fits exactly to the watch, with only the slightest wiggle, as I would expect from a brand new, factory-built watch. This is a great experience while wearing, but also made fitting the bracelet into the watch a very exacting feat, which was tricky. For someone new to modding, this was difficult, but not impossible, and I expect someone with more experience would probably not have this issue.
Also, the bracelet uses screws rather than pins for adding or removing links, and that feature made resizing the bracelet exceptionally easy and painless. One part of the folding clasp appears to be some material that's different than the rest of the bracelet, perhaps a very hard plastic, though you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at it, as it perfectly matches the color of the rest of the bracelet.
Even with all the struggles I personally had, I loved the experience with a carefully labeled box that contained all the parts together, individually and delicately packaged in specially cut-out compartments. The attention to detail in this packaging was absolutely amazing, showing an experienced understanding of why someone would be ordering these parts together, and far exceeded the expectations I had for how the products were going to be delivered, and I love it.
