A vintage and modern interpretation of a pilot dial. The classic Flieger Type A (Baumuster A) design dated from 1940.

The Troposphere Pilot bears a matt black finish with numerals and two-dots-triangle symbol aligned within the outer track indices. Alongside the hour markers, the characteristic numerals and symbol are made with 100% Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9 emitting a long-lasting blue glow.

Another great dail, very fast shipping.

The matte black dial us just perfect. The lume is almost white in the sunlight but takes on more of an antiqued coloring in more warm lamp light. Matched with the pilot hands it makes a very nice set.

This is my second time buying a dial from Lucius. Their products do not disappoint! The lume is extraordinarily well done: bright, crisp, and long-lasting.

I tried to create an homage to a dive watch from GUB (Glashutte) that was made in 1993-1994. I did this using an SKX023 case, Lucius's dial, hands from eBay, a bracelet from StrapCode, and an NH35 movement for hacking and handwinding.

I am very happy with how the dial plays its role in this watch!

This is an excellent-looking dial! The markings are clean, sharp, and symmetrical. The lume is strong and visually apparent at a glance. I am glad this is available on the open market! Not sure what else would have been needed to get my hands on a 28.5mm flieger dial.
