The Bronze Medallion Diver Dial (Date)

LIMITED EDITION · 100 pieces only. Once this run sells out, this dial is retired for good — never remade.

The Bronze Medallion Diver. Hand-Brushed Bronze. Applied Diver Indices. Swiss Lume.

A matt-black diver face with a bronze brush texture exploding outward from the centre — a radiant, gradient finish that mimics a weathered, vintage impression. Each dial is hand-brushed to finish by our dial artisans, one by one.

Because the brushing is done by hand, no two dials are ever alike. The bronze gradient falls a little differently every time — yours will be its own piece from the moment you fit it.

The hour markers are diver-style applied indices in beveled, mirror-polished silver — raised metal, not flat print — and filled with 100% Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9. The relief gives the face depth in daylight and a clean blue glow at night.

Built with a vintage diver character.
As a standard 28.5mm dial it drops into any case built for that size — pair it with a diver-style build for the full effect. Browse the dials collection .

Hand-brushed, one by one.
The bronze gradient is brushed by hand onto a matt-black face — a radiant, weathered finish that explodes from the centre. No two dials are ever identical.

A vintage diver character.
Diver-style proportions and a distressed bronze glow give the dial an aged, lived-in feel — vintage ambiance on a modern build.

Applied, beveled, lumed.
Diver-style silver indices in beveled, mirror-polished metal — raised, not printed — and filled with Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 for a clean blue glow at night.

Fits 3 and 4 o'clock crown builds.
Four dial legs as supplied — clip two to suit your case. One dial works for both modern 3 o'clock and classic SKX-style 4 o'clock crown positions.

Heads up — a dial is one part of the build

Hands. A dial needs a matching set of hands to tell time. The applied indices carry BGW9 lume, so pair this with a lumed set — choose hands that also take Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 so the hands and dial glow together.

Movement. This Date dial needs a date automatic — the Seiko NH35 (an NH36 day-date also fits, with the day disc hidden behind the dial). See the FAQ for the full list of compatible calibres.

Questions, Answered

Everything worth knowing before you build.

Are all Bronze Medallion dials identical, or is each one different?

Each one is different. The bronze gradient is hand-brushed onto every dial individually by our artisans, so no two pieces are ever alike — the way the bronze radiates from the centre falls a little differently each time. That variation is the design, not a fault: the product photos are representative, and your dial will be its own unique piece. If you want a perfectly uniform, machine-even finish, this hand-finished artisan dial isn’t it — that hand-made character is the whole point.

What is the Bronze Medallion's finish?

It begins as a matt black dial, then a bronze-coloured brush texture is worked outward from the centre by hand — producing a radiant, gradient finish that mimics a weathered, vintage impression. The result is a diver dial with an aged, lived-in character rather than a flat factory black.

Are the Bronze Medallion's indices applied or printed?

Applied. The diver-style hour markers are beveled, mirror-polished silver indices — raised metal fixed to the dial, not flat print — with the logo in white. The Super-LumiNova sits inside the beveled indices, so the markers themselves glow. Applied indices give the face a depth in daylight that a printed dial can’t match.

Does the Bronze Medallion dial have lume? How long does it glow?

Yes. The beveled indices are filled with 100% Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9, which glows blue at night and reads white by day. A full charge under light lasts up to 8 hours, tapering through the night. For the strongest effect, pair it with hands that also carry BGW9 lume so the whole face glows together — hands are sold separately from the dial.

Which movement does a Bronze Medallion dial need?

It depends on the complication you’re viewing. The Date version needs a date automatic — the Seiko NH35 (an NH36 day-date also fits, with the day disc hidden). The Day Date version needs a day-date automatic — the Seiko NH36. Both also accept the compatible Seiko / TMI family: 7S26, 7S36, 4R15, 4R35, 6R15, NE15, NH25, NH26, NH35, NH36. This is a standard (non-GMT) dial, so it does not use the NH34.

Will this dial fit my case?

Yes, almost certainly. This is a standard 28.5mm dial — the industry-standard size for Seiko mod builds. It fits any case designed for a 28.5mm dial, whether that's a Bauhaus 33, an SKX013, or another aftermarket case. The matched case shown with a dial is an aesthetic pairing, not a fitment requirement.

Why does the dial have four legs?

The dial ships with four legs so it fits two different crown positions. Seiko movements come in 3 o'clock and 4 o'clock crown layouts, and the dial feet sit in different places for each. Clip off the two legs that don't match your crown position — two stay, two go.

How do I fit it to a 3 o'clock or a 4 o'clock crown movement?

Remove the two legs that don't match your movement's crown position by clipping or gently twisting them off, then seat the dial as normal. Two legs stay, two go. See the How To Mod tab for the full fitting walkthrough.

Does it work with normal or ultra thin chapter rings?

Both. All our SKX013 chapter rings — normal and ultra thin — clear the dial. Choose by your case's clearance, not the dial.

Is this a limited edition — will it be restocked?

Yes, it's a limited edition, and it will not be restocked. Once the run sells out it's retired for good. The edition size is shown on the product page.
