Your parts arrive as one finished watch. Our watchmaker seats your movement, aligns crown & stem, presses the caseback and QC-checks the build. 3–5 business day lead time, assembled in Singapore.
See It On A Watch

The Fluted Sports Classic. Reborn Ultra Thin. Built in Titanium.

The Seiko-Dweller 36mm, part of our Ultra Thin Edition series, is our own take on the fluted sports-watch silhouette — a shape you'll recognise instantly, rebuilt from the ground up in Grade 4 titanium and engineered to a profile most titanium cases can't reach.

This is the first and only ultra thin titanium Seiko-Dweller case on the market — 10.0mm thick with the solid caseback, and around 70 grams on the wrist with the full integrated bracelet fitted. Titanium is why people choose titanium: lighter than steel, harder than steel, naturally corrosion-resistant. This case delivers all three, with nothing left on the table.

Case, crown, caseback and the integrated bracelet are all Grade 4 titanium. The sapphire crystal ships pre-installed. It arrives as a complete case — you add the dial, hands, chapter ring and movement, and you have a finished watch.

Ships as a complete case — crown, bracelet, sapphire and caseback included.
Unlike a bare case build, there's no crown to source, no bracelet to match, no crystal to press. The integrated titanium bracelet comes pre-installed and aligned at our workshop. A modern classic, ready for your dial.

Featherlight by design.
Around 70 grams on the wrist with the full integrated bracelet — and lighter still once it's sized to your wrist and links are removed. Titanium is supposed to feel light; this case actually does.

Genuinely thin.
10.0mm total with the solid caseback. The engineering behind that number: a standard NH movement is 7.59mm tall on its own — which leaves barely 2.4mm for the crystal, caseback floor, walls and hand clearance combined. One of the thinnest cases in our Ultra Thin line.

Titanium, properly.
Grade 4 titanium throughout — case, crown, caseback, bracelet. Harder than 316L steel, so it resists scratches and dents better; naturally corrosion-resistant; and carrying titanium's distinctive subtle grey tone that sets it apart from steel at a glance.

The integrated bracelet.
Over 110 individual parts, each link blending polished and brushed finishes for fluid articulation and light play. It's an extreme component to craft — which is why it ships pre-installed and pre-aligned, not loose in the box.

Heads up — sold separately

Chapter ring. This case requires a SKX013-spec chapter ring to seat the dial correctly — without it, the dial sits too low and hands won't clear. The case fits both normal and ultra thin chapter rings; the choice depends on your dial, not the case. If your dial has applied (raised) indices, choose ultra thin for clearance. If flat-printed, either works. When in doubt, ultra thin is the safer default. Browse compatible chapter rings .

Everything else — crown, caseback, integrated bracelet and sapphire crystal — is included with this case. You only need a dial, hands, chapter ring and movement to complete the watch.

For experienced modders only — TYPE M movements only

This case fits TYPE M versions of NH35, NH36, NH38, NH70, NH71, NH72 only. TYPE L will NOT fit. Due to tight clearance between hands and sapphire, this case is recommended only for professional watchmakers and experienced modders.

Integrated bracelet. The integrated bracelet requires a more precise installation process than a standard bracelet, so each case ships with the bracelet pre-installed and aligned. If you remove and refit it, work with care and patience — it takes a steady hand.

Bracelet screws. Screws are not tightened prior to shipment. Ensure all screws are properly secured before wear — we recommend a suitable threadlocker (e.g. Loctite) during final assembly.

  • New to Seiko modding? Here's everything you'll need for a complete, functioning watch — in the order you'd actually assemble it.

    What's already in this purchase:

The titanium case body, the 7mm titanium coin-edge crown, the solid titanium caseback, the integrated titanium bracelet (pre-installed), and the pre-installed sapphire crystal. That's a near-complete watch — you only need to add what goes on the dial side.

The 4 parts you'll need for a complete watch:

    1. Chapter ring — required first. The chapter ring seats the dial at the correct height; without it, the dial sits too low and the hands won't clear.
(SKX013-spec — sold on a separate page. See the "sold separately" panel above for normal vs ultra thin guidance.)
      Browse compatible chapter rings
    2. Dial (28.5mm) — the face of the watch. The biggest aesthetic choice you'll make. Match it to your chosen movement (date / day+date / no-date dial).
    3. Hands — paired with your dial. Most modders match lume colour across both hands and dial markers (BGW9 white-blue, C3 green, etc.).
    4. Movement — NH35 (date), NH36 (day+date), NH38 (no date), or source your own. The movement is the engine of the watch.

    Want it built for you?

Tick the Assemble Watch (+SGD $89) option above on this page and we'll handle the full build in our Singapore workshop — case fitting, movement seating, crown alignment, caseback press and function check.

Heads up: assembled watches require 2–5 business days of workshop time before shipping.

Once your parts arrive, see the How To Mod tab for assembly tutorials.

    1. 1x Watch Case Body (Titanium, with pre-installed flat sapphire crystal)
    2. 1x Crown — 7mm coin-edge (Titanium)

Questions, Answered

Everything worth knowing before you build.

How light is it, really?

Around 70 grams on the wrist with the full integrated bracelet fitted — and lighter once the bracelet is sized and links are removed for your wrist. That's the practical payoff of Grade 4 titanium over stainless steel.

What comes in the box — do I need to buy a crown or bracelet?

No. The Seiko-Dweller ships as a complete case: titanium case body, 7mm titanium coin-edge crown, solid titanium caseback, integrated titanium bracelet, and a pre-installed sapphire crystal. To finish the watch you only need a dial, hands, chapter ring and movement.

Why is the bracelet pre-installed?

The integrated bracelet requires a more precise installation process than a standard bracelet. Shipping it pre-installed and pre-aligned guarantees the fit and finish are correct. You can remove and refit it, but it takes a steady hand — and remember the bracelet screws ship untightened, so secure them (ideally with threadlocker) before wear.

What's the difference between Type M and Type L?

Type M and Type L are Seiko's two factory hand-fitting versions of the NH series. Type L sits higher than Type M — about 0.4mm taller from base to second-hand pinion. Because of the tight clearance between hands and sapphire in Ultra Thin Edition cases, only Type M will fit. Confirm your movement type before ordering.

Do I need to remove the sapphire crystal to install the chapter ring?

No — and that's the whole point of us pre-installing the sapphire for you. The chapter ring sits on top of the dial inside the case, not under the crystal, so the crystal stays where it is throughout the build. (If you ever do need to remove the sapphire — for example, to replace it — that's a workshop job we handle for you, not an at-home step.)

Should I choose the normal or the ultra thin chapter ring?

The choice depends on your dial, not the caseboth sizes fit every Ultra Thin Edition case. If your dial has applied (raised) indices, the ultra thin chapter ring is the better choice because its slimmer profile gives the indices clearance instead of resting on top of them. If your dial is flat-printed (no applied markers), either size works. When in doubt, the ultra thin chapter ring is the safer default because it works with both dial types.

What is an SKX013 chapter ring and why does it matter?

A specific size and spec used by Seiko in the SKX013 (discontinued 2019). The LA smaller-case lineup all uses this same spec, which means dozens of chapter ring designs work across every smaller case in the catalogue.

Will SKX007 dials fit?

Any 28.5mm dial will fit. Stock SKX007 dials may seat differently because the original SKX007 has a 4 o'clock crown position with offset dial feet, while Ultra Thin Edition cases are designed for 3 o'clock dial feet.

Does this case need a chapter ring?

Yes — every Ultra Thin Edition case requires an SKX013-spec chapter ring, sold separately. The chapter ring seats the dial at the correct height; without it, the dial drops and the hands will not clear properly.

Are the case and bracelet edges sharp, or are they rounded off?

They are rounded off — but they are still crisp, and we would rather say that than have you open the box expecting something softer. "Sharp" is genuinely subjective: a Rolex is sharp too, and where one person reads that as crisp and well-defined, another finds it catches. The bracelet clasp is the sharpest part of the whole package — that is the part to know about before you commit.

If a previous mod was painful to wear, it is worth working out what actually caused it: a poorly finished lug edge digging in is a different problem from a clasp catching on the back of your wrist. Email hello@luciusatelier.com and say which it was, and you will get an honest answer on whether ours will be better or much the same.

Do you customize cases? Can I have a case machined or finished to my own spec?

Cases ship exactly as listed — no custom machining, no changes to size, lug width or lug shape, no alternative finishes of an existing case, and no engraving (a local engraver or jeweller can engrave a finished part after purchase). What you can customize is the build: choose the case, dial, hands, chapter ring, bezel insert, crystal and bracelet you want and LA will assemble the finished watch for you. Bespoke design work — one-off dials, mockups or renders, designing a build to a brief — is not offered. For fully custom work, see the list of watch modification specialists.

What is the Ultra Thin Edition (UTE)?

UTE is shorthand for the Ultra Thin Edition — the Lucius Atelier case line engineered to stay near or under 10mm while remaining NH-compatible, where most Seiko mod cases on the market run 13–14mm. It includes the Bauhaus 33mm at 9.93mm with a solid caseback (the thinnest NH-compatible mod case on the market), the Explorer 36mm at 9.96mm, the Seikonaut 38mm at 10.0mm, the NH34 GMT-ready 1908 36mm at 10.75mm, the SKX013 Diver 38 at 10.86mm and the Pilot 34mm at 10.96mm. Ultra Thin cases take the standard 0.4mm dial spec, and both chapter ring sizes fit them.

Customers praised this ultra-thin titanium watch case for its exceptional lightweight comfort and premium quality finishing. Many highlighted the "featherlight" feel and integrated bracelet's smooth articulation. The 36mm size was noted as perfect by most, though some wished for larger options. Minor concerns included bracelet links occasionally sticking.

  • Lightweight and doesn't feel bulky, perfect for everyday wear
  • The lightweight feel is outstanding and makes the watch incredibly comfortable
  • Super easy to work with. The case work, polishing, and brushing is excellent

Using this mod part for: Seiko-Dweller
Seiko-Dweller — An affordable & stylish EDC automatic

I’ve been searching for a reasonably priced, not too thick automatic with at least 100m of water resistance. I also would have liked to include a date complication.

The Seiko-Dweller not only had a day _and_ date complication, but it came in a titanium case and bracelet, keeping the weight down. Being titanium, it has a slightly lower thermal conductivity, making it less “cold” on the wrist.

I went with a Nautilus Arctic White dial and Baton II hands, and SKX013 Brushed Silver chapter ring. Upon receiving the watch, I was pleased with the look and feel. Sizing the brackets was straight forward. I opted for a regulated movement, so it’s still too soon to know what accuracy it achieves but overall, it’s a fun, functional, affordable yet good looking time piece for every day wear. Loving it!

Perfect for a sports type watch

I’m absolutely amazed with this titanium watch case. The lightweight feel is outstanding and makes the watch incredibly comfortable to wear, even for long periods. It gives the whole piece a very sporty, modern character while feeling high-quality and durable.

The bracelet is a real highlight. Thanks to the many small segments, it adapts perfectly to the wrist and feels exceptionally comfortable and smooth in daily use. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the design.

Because the case and bracelet are so well made, I took my time selecting the perfect dial and handset to match such a beautiful set. This case truly deserves a carefully chosen setup, and the end result is something I’m very proud of.

Titanium Dream Watch

I absolutely love titanium and was looking for a sport/classy watch to round out of the titanium divers I have. This case came out to be 10.3mm thick and super easy to work with. The case work, polishing, and brushing is excellent and the bracelet is a dream! Articulation at the integrated case goes backward under so it works for smaller wrists. I was concerned about the 36mm but honestly on my 7.25” inch wears more like a 39mm. I hope they bring out more titanium thin cases like this in the future. Maybe a titanium yacht style diver. I would also love a few meteorite dial options. Lume is top notch as I am also a lume junky with the dive watches. Hits all the boxes for the premium price you get the ultra premium feel. Couldn’t find a sharp edge anywhere to note and had quite a few on a more expensive watch the week before.

Hi Ed,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and thoughtful review — I truly appreciate it. You did a fantastic job with the build, and it’s wonderful to hear how well the case and bracelet wear on your wrist. Your description of the articulation and finishing really made my day.

Just a small note on the thickness: if everything is fully assembled and the caseback is tightened all the way down, the Seiko-Dweller 36mm should measure right around 10.0mm. I’ve attached a photo of one of my fully assembled SD36 builds measuring 9.994mm for reference:
https://luciusatelier.com/cdn/shop/files/IMG_20251220_114238_5000x.jpg

That said, a fraction of a millimeter can vary depending on assembly and measurement method, so nothing to worry about at all.

I’m especially glad to hear the lume, finishing, and titanium feel hit the mark for you — that’s exactly what this case was designed to deliver. And your ideas for future titanium thin cases and meteorite dials are noted 😉

Thanks again for the support and for sharing your experience with the community. Truly appreciated.

Best regards,
Adriel

Great dimensions

Case is nicely slim and has a great size at 36mm diameter. The integrated bracelet works well with the lug-to-lug to deliver a pleasant view on the wrist.

Titanium Seiko-Dweller Case

This case is all I dreamed it would be when I placed my order. Incredibly light on wrist and comfortable. 36mm I feel is the perfect size for case like this, visually it appears larger on the wrist and is in what I would consider the “Goldilocks Zone”. I paired it with the LA Great Oak Dial and Baton Hands V2. Personally I wish the dial didn’t say Swiss Made at the 6 since I’m using a Japanese movement in the watch, but it is hardly noticeable when glancing at the watch to tell the time. The 7mm crown is solid when manipulating and the crown tube is buttery smooth when **** it down.only things I would change would be circular brushing on the case-back and the inclusion of 2 half links. Very happy with my purchase and will continue to buy from Lucius Atelier in the future!

When it would be 40 or 42mm.. i would buy 10pcs, but 36mm is a little bit too small :( but good quality.

Seiko Dweller 36mm Titanium

I recently purchased the Seiko Dweller 36mm titanium watch case from Lucius Atelier, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The overall quality of the watch is exceptional everything from the finishing to the attention to detail feels premium and well thought out.

One of the biggest highlights is how light it is on the wrist. The titanium construction makes a noticeable difference, offering excellent comfort without compromising on durability. It’s perfect for everyday wear, especially if you prefer something that doesn’t feel bulky.

On top of the product itself, the customer service from Lucius Atelier has been outstanding. Communication was prompt, helpful, and genuinely customer-focused, which made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.

I highly recommend Lucius Atelier to anyone looking to create a refined, lightweight, quality timepiece backed by excellent support.

Quality is great, bracelet is just okay

The finish and the quality of the case is excellent, one of best. However the bracelet easily bunches and gets stuck in stacked position and at times becomes very difficult to undo. If i were to do it again, though the case is amazing, id refrain just due to the design of the integrated bracelet. Every link has tendency to get stuck in position

Amazing, but I won't feel if someone steals it from my wrist!

I matched this case with a real turqoise dial and it is everything I ever dreamed of, when thinking about my dream watch.
It is looking amazing and it is feeling so featherlight on my wrist, I won't even feel if it goes missing.
The case feels very high quality and there is really nothing negative to say about it!

May I know the bezel dimensions for this case? I'm planning to purchase it and swap out the fluted bezel for a smooth one

Adriel from LuciusAtelier.com

Hi Eman,

Thank you for reaching out and expressing interest in our mod parts!

I want to be straight with you before you buy, because the plan you have in mind will not work on this case. I do not publish a separate bezel dimension for the Seiko-Dweller 36, and I do not offer the bezel as a separate part or in a smooth version. The mirror-polished fluted bezel is part of how this case is made and finished, and there is no alternative bezel from me to swap it for.

This case is also my own design rather than a Seiko reference, so its geometry is not shared with anything on the aftermarket. That means a third-party bezel is not going to be a drop-in either.

If the fluted look is the sticking point, tell me what you are picturing and I will point you at what in my range comes closest, so you are choosing a case you actually want rather than one you plan to modify.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Any plans to release this in stainless steel?

Adriel from LuciusAtelier.com

Hi Paul,

Thank you for reaching out and expressing interest in our mod parts!

To answer your question: at the moment, we do not have any plans to release the Ultra Thin Seiko-Dweller case in stainless steel. However, things might always change down the road, so we won't rule it out completely for the future!

Please let me know if you have any other questions or need help with anything else.

Is there a fitting display case back? or could any skx 013 compatible display back be used?

Adriel from LuciusAtelier.com

Hi Philipp,

Thanks for expressing interest in my mod parts!

To answer your first question, I do offer a display sapphire case back that fits this specific model perfectly. However, please note that this display case back is manufactured in stainless steel rather than titanium.

Regarding your second question, standard SKX013 casebacks will not fit any of my Ultra Thin Edition (UTE) cases. The reason for this comes down to how the watches are engineered for slimness. Traditional SKX casebacks are designed with the water-resistance gasket located on the outside of the case, which naturally adds quite a bit of thickness to the overall profile. To achieve the sleek design of my UTE cases, I re-engineered the structure so that the gasket sits completely inside the case. Because of this fundamental difference in construction, they cannot be cross-fitted.

I hope this helps clarify the mechanics of the UTE series for your build!

Do you need an ultra thin chapter ring or will a regular SKX013 chapter ring work?

Adriel from LuciusAtelier.com

Hi Joe,

Thanks for expressing interest in our mod parts!

As long as the chapter ring is designed for SKX013, it will fit this case — whether it’s ultra thin, slim, or the regular OEM thickness.

The different thicknesses affect dial compatibility, not case compatibility.
So they all fit the case, but not all dials will fit all chapter ring thicknesses.

If you already have a dial in mind, feel free to let me know and I can advise which chapter ring works best with it.

Is there plans to have a stainless steel version in the near future?

Adriel from LuciusAtelier.com

Hi Vincent,

Thanks for expressing interest in our mod parts!

At the moment, there are no plans to produce a 316L stainless steel version of the Seiko-Dweller 36mm. This model was designed specifically around titanium to achieve its ultra-thin and ultra-light profile, and overall comfort.

If that ever changes in the future, we’ll announce it on the website and mailing list.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Is there a Stainless Steel version? A Smooth Bezel version? A Non-Jubilee version?

Adriel from LuciusAtelier.com

Hi there,

Thanks for expressing interest in our mod parts!

At the moment, the Seiko-Dweller 36mm UTE Titanium is available only in the current configuration.

The design is purpose-built around this exact titanium case + fluted bezel + integrated jubilee bracelet to achieve the ultra-thin profile and perfect fitment.

If we ever introduce additional variants in the future, they’ll be announced on the website and email list.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
