    A Genuine Lapis Lazuli Gemstone. Highest grade we can get our hands on. Gorgeous ultramarine blue with specks of pyrite (gold) and minimum calcite (white).

    Each lapis lazuli gemstone dial is hand-crafted, hand-cut, hand-sanded and uniquely different. No two pieces are ever the same. Even the minute indices, logo and automatic are individually applied.

    Lapis lazuli is polished finished decorated with classic and dressy silver polished applied indices hour and minute markers. Logo and automatic are also applied polished silver.

    *No two dials are ever alike. Every dial is distinct.

    **Logo, automatic and minute markers are removable. However, the residue adhesive must be skilfully removed and cleaned.

    Note: Firstly, this dial is a pure lapis lazuli without brass base and legs. Therefore requires skilful dial/movement orientation. Included are adhesive rings to adhere precisely onto the movement's dial holding spacer. Secondly, minute markers are gently applied onto the dial with adhesive and will come off if touched. Please ensure you take great care when working with this dial and avoid touching the minute markers. Lastly, ensure caseback is not too tightly screwed down as the sandwich effect of the dial between the case and caseback can potentially crack the lapis lazuli gemstone. Due to difficulty working with this dial, this dial is ONLY recommended for professional watchmakers and highly skilled/experienced modders with great level of finesse.

    I made a pair of lapis divers. My favorite watches I've made thanks to the unique quality of each dial. Being natural stone it can be delicate but I'm 2/2 without having to order a replacement.

    Beautiful and Delicate Dial

    Wanted to challenge myself with this dial, and I succeeded! Dial is beautiful, looks wonderful and especially fitting in the new Grand Seiko style cases on this site. But the item description is accurate - installing this dial requires a deft hand, and I successfully cracked a seam in my dial from about 6:00 to 10:00 when trying to adjust its alignment on the movement, which I got slightly off on the first try. It doesn't ruin the watch (people I showed it to thought that was just part of the stone), but I definitely recommend going slowly and really treating this dial with care while installing. All in all I'd happily buy another one of these dials - perhaps the non-open heart version is a little sturdier.
