Vintage Enamel Biege Dial (Open Heart)

LIMITED EDITION · 100 pieces only. Once this run sells out, this dial is retired for good — never remade.

Vintage Enamel Biege Dial. Glossy Enamel. Polished Silver Indices. Open Heart.

A dressy, vintage-leaning face in highly glossy enamel. The hour indices are applied in mirror-polished silver, set to catch and throw light from every angle — a clean, classic, reflective read.

The hour and minute markers are silver polished applied indices — raised metal, not print. The logo and the movement signature are removable too, if you want an even cleaner face.

A specialist dial. The minute markers are held with a light adhesive and will lift if touched — this dial is recommended for professional watchmakers and experienced modders only. Handle the marker track with great care during the build.

A vintage-dress face.
As a standard 28.5mm dial it drops into any case built for that size. The Vintage Enamel Biege comes in five complications — see the table below.

Glossy enamel, vintage read.
A highly glossy enamel surface with a vintage, dressy character — warm and classic under polished-silver indices.

Mirror-polished silver indices.
Applied hour markers in mirror-polished silver, positioned to capture and reflect light from all directions — raised metal, not print.

A dial for skilled hands.
The minute markers are lightly adhered and will lift if touched. Recommended for professional watchmakers and experienced modders — handle the marker track with care.

An open-heart aperture.
A cut-away at the dial face opens onto the movement's balance wheel — pair it with an open-heart automatic (NH70 / NH71 / NH72; the NH38 also fits) to frame the beating heart.

Questions, Answered

Everything worth knowing before you build.

What does the Vintage Enamel Biege dial look like?

It is a dressy, vintage-leaning face in highly glossy enamel, with hour indices applied in mirror-polished silver and positioned to catch and reflect light from every angle — a clean, classic read. The hour and minute markers are raised silver metal (not print), and the logo and movement signature are removable for an even cleaner face. It is a non-lumed dial. The family runs across five complications: Date, Day-Date, GMT, No-Date and Open-Heart.

Are the markers applied or printed?

Applied. The hour markers are applied (raised) indices — raised metal on the dial surface, not flat print. The relief is what gives the face its depth and light play as the wrist moves.

Are the markers fragile?

The fine minute markers can be. They're individually applied and extremely small, with a correspondingly tiny adhesive footprint, so they can shift or lift if pressed — handle the dial by its edges and never touch the marker surface. The logo and "Automatic" text are firmly applied and don't lift in normal handling. Because of this delicacy, dials with applied minute markers suit experienced modders.

Does this dial have lume?

No — this dial carries no lume. If you want the watch to glow in the dark, pair it with a set of lumed hands; the glow then comes from the hands rather than the dial face.

What is an open-heart dial / which movement does it need?

An open-heart dial has an aperture cut into the face to reveal the movement's balance wheel — the beating heart of the watch — through the dial. It's built for the open-heart NH family on a 3 o'clock crown: the Seiko NH38 (the NH70, NH71 and NH72 fit too), whose balance the opening is positioned to frame. Because it's matched to that one family, the dial comes with two feet already in position — nothing to clip.

Will this dial fit my case?

Yes, almost certainly. This is a standard Seiko mod dial — 28.5mm in diameter and 0.4mm thick, the industry-standard size — so it fits most, if not all, Seiko cases. Where a dial is shown with a particular case, that's an aesthetic pairing, not a fitment requirement. If you're unsure, the surest check is to remove your current dial and measure it with a vernier caliper.

Is this a limited edition / will it be restocked?

Yes, it's a limited edition, and it won't be restocked. Once the run sells out it's retired for good. The edition size is shown on the product page.

Are hands included with this dial?

No — dials and hands are sold separately. This listing is for the dial only; choose a matching handset to complete the build. If your dial is lumed, pairing it with lumed hands in the same lume type keeps the whole face glowing together.
