Sterile White Enamel Dial (Day Date)

No. of Pieces

Sterile White Enamel. Blank Dial. Highly Glossy.

A clean, highly glossy white enamel face with nothing on it — no markers, no numerals, no logo, no text. A true blank slate, finished in a high-gloss enamel that holds its shine under the light.

Built for two kinds of modder: the one who wants to print, paint, or apply their own design onto a clean canvas, and the one who wants the purest sterile white look exactly as it ships. Either way, the surface does the work.

The enamel holds beautifully on its own — glossy, even, and hard-wearing, with none of the fragility of a matte or applied-marker dial.

A blank white canvas, kept in stock.
The Sterile White Enamel is one of our core blank dials — restocked regularly, not a limited run. Browse the dials collection .

Bright glossy enamel.
A high-gloss white enamel surface with a clean, even sheen — it reflects light crisply and holds its finish without the delicacy of matte or textured dials.

A true blank canvas.
Fully sterile: no applied or printed indices, no numerals, no logo, no "Automatic" text. Run it clean for a pure white face, or use it as a base for your own dial work.

Heads up — a dial is one part of the build

Hands. A dial needs a matching set of hands to tell time. This is a sterile, non-lume dial, so it pairs with any set of hands you like — if you want the watch to glow at night, choose lumed hands, since the dial itself carries no lume.

Movement. This Day Date dial takes a day-date automatic — the Seiko NH36. See the FAQ for the full list.

Questions, Answered

Everything worth knowing before you build.

Does the Sterile White dial have any markers, numerals, or a logo?

No — it is a fully sterile dial. There are no applied or printed hour indices, no numerals, no minute track, no logo, and no “Automatic” text. The face is a clean, uninterrupted sheet of glossy white enamel — ideal either as a pure minimalist white dial or as a blank base for your own design.

Is the Sterile White dial glossy or matte?

Highly glossy. It is a bright, high-gloss white enamel with a clean, reflective sheen. The enamel is smooth and even, with none of the fragility of a matte or textured finish.

Can I paint or customise the dial myself?

Yes — the blank, sterile surface is made for it. Modders use the Sterile White Enamel as a base for printed or hand-applied markers, custom logos, and designs. The glossy enamel gives a clean, even starting surface. How well a given paint, ink, or transfer bonds to enamel depends on your own materials and technique, so test your method before committing to the final dial.

Does the Sterile White dial have lume?

No — being fully sterile, the dial carries no lume. If you want the watch to glow in the dark, pair it with a set of lumed hands; the glow then comes from the hands rather than the dial face.

Which movement does a Sterile White dial need?

It depends on the version. The No Date dial is fully blank, so almost any NH movement fits — a no-date NH38 is cleanest, and a dated NH35 or day-date NH36 (or NH70 / NH71 / NH72) also works, with the unused date or day disc simply hidden behind the sterile face. The Date version takes an NH35, and the Day Date version takes an NH36. All are standard 3 o’clock-crown automatics — no GMT movement is used.

Will this dial fit my case?

Yes, almost certainly. This is a standard 28.5mm dial — the industry-standard size for Seiko mod builds. It fits any case designed for a 28.5mm dial, whether that's a Bauhaus 33, an SKX013, or another aftermarket case. The matched case shown with a dial is an aesthetic pairing, not a fitment requirement.

Why does the dial have four legs?

The dial ships with four legs so it fits two different crown positions. Seiko movements come in 3 o'clock and 4 o'clock crown layouts, and the dial feet sit in different places for each. Clip off the two legs that don't match your crown position — two stay, two go.

How do I fit it to a 3 o'clock or a 4 o'clock crown movement?

Remove the two legs that don't match your movement's crown position by clipping or gently twisting them off, then seat the dial as normal. Two legs stay, two go. See the How To Mod tab for the full fitting walkthrough.

Does it work with normal or ultra thin chapter rings?

Both. All our SKX013 chapter rings — normal and ultra thin — clear the dial. Choose by your case's clearance, not the dial.

Is the Sterile White dial a limited edition? Will it be restocked?

No — unlike our numbered limited-edition dials, the Sterile White Enamel is a core staple. It is an open-run dial that we keep in regular stock and restock as needed, so there is no fixed edition size and no risk of it being retired after a single run.
