    HOW TO START?

    • For the watch case, select your (1) Caseback (Solid or sapphire) and (2) Crown.
    • For a complete watch, select your (3) Dial, (4) Hands, (5) Chapter Ring and (6) Movement.
    • To add bracelet or strap, select your (7) Bracelet or Strap (optional).
    • To decorate movement, select your (8) Bridge and/or Rotor (optional).
    • To have watch assembled, select (9) Assemble Watch (optional). Please note that assembling the entire timepiece requires 2 to 5 business days prior to shipping.

The inclusion of a box-shaped sapphire crystal not only adds vintage appeal but also provides superior legibility with its raised, curved form, ensuring a subtle retro charm.

    Key design elements, such as the 4 o’clock crown position without a crown guard, contribute to a clean and symmetrical aesthetic, appealing to watch enthusiasts and modders alike. This watch case pays homage to the legacy of the 62GS while offering ample room for modern customization and precision modifications.

    This is our most premium model to date, combining intricate design with superior materials. The case boasts a multi-surfaced steel structure, meticulously crafted with alternating polished and brushed finishes that surpass the complexity of standard explorer and GS cases. The standout feature—the box-shaped sapphire—isn’t merely decorative; it’s precision-cut using diamond tools, allowing it to accommodate a chapter ring. This is our most advanced and highest-grade sapphire crystal yet.

    Building upon the success of our Explorer Case 36mm Ultra Thin Edition, the 62GS Watch Case 36mm integrates the same slim profile but gains an additional 1.6mm in height due to the box-shaped sapphire crystal, making it compatible with the GMT NH34 movement. This engineering feat results in the thinnest and smallest GMT 62GS case available for this movement.

    Slim, Streamlined Profile

    With the solid caseback, this 62GS case measures a mere 8mm in thickness, excluding the sapphire crystal. The total height reaches 11.6mm with the box-shaped sapphire crystal, achieving a refined balance between sleekness and elegance. Given that the NH movement itself measures 7.59mm, this leaves only 4mm for the case, sapphire, and hand clearance—a remarkable achievement. Even when paired with a sapphire caseback, the total thickness remains at a slim 12.5mm, ensuring the case retains the streamlined elegance synonymous with the 62GS design.

    This case is fully compatible with all our 28.5mm dials, SKX013 crowns, SKX013 chapter rings, and Type M NH movements, allowing for effortless and versatile customization.

    Bracelet and Water Resistance

    With a water resistance rating of 50m, this case combines timeless style with the durability you expect from premium watch components.

    IMPORTANT: This case can ONLY fit TYPE M of NH34, NH35, NH36, NH38, NH70, NH71 and NH72 movement. TYPE L of these movements will NOT fit. Due to low tolerance/space between hands and sapphire, this case is ONLY recommended for professional watchmakers and highly skilled/experienced modders with great level of finesse. For optimal second hand clearance of NH34 movement, second hand must be at a length of less than 12mm; alternatively a second hand cap.

    Slim, vintage vibes

    This was the second watch of a set I had Adriel put together as an anniversary gift for my wife and I. Both watches had identical turquoise crystal dials, polished Grand Seiko dauphine hands, and polished ultra-thin chapter rings. The only difference was that one would be the Explorer Ultra Thin and the other would be this GS ultra thin case. I wasn't sure which watch would end up with whom but upon arrival, it was clear. The Explorer case for her, the Grand Seiko for me. The box crystal and lack of bezel give this wath way more of a vintage look and feel. The edges are crisp, and the polishing excellent. My only wish would be for 3 o-clock crown placement. The 4 o-clock crowns creams "Seiko 5" (or SKX derivatives) to me, which is the antithesis of this watch's aesthetic. From a quality perspective, this is 5 stars all the way, however, the looks are let down a bit by the crown.

    Stunning case, spectacular service.

    I have been tailoring NH-based watches now for a while and i have used numerous sellers while doing so. I have found Lucius Atelier to be the most reliable in terms of quality, finishing and service and getting a package from them is always a Joy!
    About this case:
    Absolutely stunning polishing. I made a watch for my parents using this rather unisex size and they loved it. The top hat crystal is a nice finishing touch elevating the looks of any watch built with this. Only slight downside, or property the crystal has, is that it kind of hides any (slim) chapter ring rather effectively, which is good to have in mind if you wanted to make a GMT out of this. However the crystal is so pretty i really don´t care whether i see the chapter ring or not.
    The blued hands also bought from Lucius are drop dead gorgeous. I would like to see similarly blued, shiny chapter ring in the future.
    All in all i like these guys and their products. Highly recommended!

    Beautiful case

    I’m very happy I decided to get this case. It was supposed to be a preorder but it showed up three days after I ordered it. I paired it with the turquoise dial and polished ultra thin chapter ring for a build for my wife.
