The Great Wave off Kanagawa (神奈川沖浪裏, Kanagawa-oki nami ura) is an iconic woodblock print by Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾北斎), circa 1829 to 1833 in the late Edo period. To date, this remains as Hokusai's most famous piece of work and has been one of the most recognisable works of Japanese Art in the world.

There are a lot of versions of the Great Wave mod out there, but I have to say this is the best execution I've come across. It looks better in person than online. Vibrant and crisp, and the dauphine hands give the whole thing an understated elegance. Incredibly happy with this purchase. Watch arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition. The combination of the silver dauphine hands, polished chapter ring and yachmaster-style bezel are in my opinion, a brilliant complement to the star of the show, that Kanagawa dial. I keep finding myself looking at the watch two or three times to check the time because I get too distracted by how great it looks. The lumed dial is particularly impressive in the dark, showing off the dial in a completely different way.
Adriel's craftsmanship in putting this piece together is outstanding and it has found a permanent place in my collection. The hand-written thank you note that came in the box was a particularly nice touch, and I would happily purchase from Adriel again.
After unboxing this item I just can't get my eyes of it for the longest time. Everything was perfect from the Dial, bezel insert, hands and straps. The Lume was nothing short of amazing. It truly puts a smile on my face everytime I checked my wrist for the time. Super satisfied. Massive thanks to Adriel for making this piece available. It's one that I'll treasure the most.
