NH Movement Rotor - Côtes de Genève - Yellow Gold

The Côtes de Genève motif is the best known of all the decorations adorning watch movements. Perhaps this is due to its name that initially seems both striking and somewhat strange, or possibly because it is so strongly present on movements. Whatever the case, this pattern traced on the smooth surfaces of mechanical (and indeed quartz) movements is a familiar sight on the watchmaking scene - to the point where one almost forgets that finishes are not a purely aesthetic element.

Here is a NH movement rotor, Côtes de Genève in Yellow Gold.

With a sapphire caseback, it is all the reason to beautify the movement and improving the aesthetic. Furthermore, this is a simple and easy mod that requires just screwing and unscrewing of the rotor screw.

  • To allow for CNC decoration, decorated rotor is 0.15mm thicker than SEIKO OEM rotor. Each and every rotors have been tested to fit all our bridges, cases and casebacks perfectly.

Below is SEIKO's technical drawing , as long as the case and caseback intented to be use is designed with OEM specification as recommended by SEIKO, i.e. there is a 0.4mm gap between the rotor caseback, our rotor will fit just fine. In a scenario where these parts' dimensions deviate from SEIKO OEM, our rotors will be incompatible.

Easy Bling

Including an aftermarket rotor on a stock, Seiko movement is an easy way to up the appeal on an otherwise boring stock movement. The Seiko 4R/NH movement is a fine workhorse movement, but do its looks really merit a clear caseback? Here's an easy way to justify that clear caseback.

Amazing product!

I bought a new rotor (Côtes de Genève) in gold from lucius, and i be more happy. Perfect fit! And i highy recommend this shop. Amazing customer service. I even got a quality screwdriver and a hand written note. Made my day. This was my first watch mod. And i definently am buying some project from lucius i the near future.

The rotor looks great and fits the NH movements as advertised, however mine did not fit in the case I have for an NH35A. The stock rotor fits in this case but this one does not. I had to have a jeweler grind down the edge on it to make it fit. Just something to keep in mind before purchasing.

If I didn’t have an exhibition caseback I probably wouldn’t have noticed the rotor wasn’t turning and assumed there was something wrong with the winding works.
