The Great Wave off Kanagawa, Hand Painted.

Hand Painted Dial - The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai - SEIKO Mod Parts

We have pushed our SEIKO mod parts to a whole new level.

This artwork is painstakingly hand painted by an experience 70 years old artist in micro-painting. Each artwork requires 3 to 4 days to micro hand paint onto a dial. Serial numbers are labelled at 6 o'clock position (For aesthetic reason, we will reduce the serial number font size as seen here and may potentially change the serial number to printed instead of hand painted). Thereafter, dials are coated with enamel for a highly glossy finish. Lastly, beveled mirror polished silver hour indices are applied.

An opulent process and finishing for a legendary artwork on a wrist.

***Note: This artwork on the dial is micro-painted by hand. Therefore, each artwork on the dial will defer to a certain degree in terms of colour and contour. Expect some differences. No two pieces will look exactly the same.

How The Dial Was Made - Hand Painted Dial - The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai - SEIKO Mod Parts

It isn't easy making this dial. And, there is no short cut to speed up the process of making this dial either. Production of a white base plate is first made. Then, shipped far away to the artist to hand paint each dial.

Upon completion of micro-painting the dials, they are shipped back to us for inspection before shipping them to the manufacturer to apply the enamel finish. Next, the highly glossy dials are shipped off to another location to have their indices applied.

Finally, they are shipped to us for a final quality check before we send it out to you. The final product is a unique piece of artwork. Every piece is different and distinct. If you ever want a unique dial of Great Wave off Kanagawa, this is it - the one and only.

LIMITED TO 36 DIALS. Serial number @ 6 o'clock position.

You can select your preferred serial number! From no. 2 to 36. (We will be keeping no.1 for now 😁)

A day heads up for our followers. Pre-order starts on 1st April Midnight (GMT+8), that's 31st March 9AM (PST). **The dial will not appear on the website until then.
