Using this mod part for: Seiko 5 SNXS7 with a SKX009 dial and BGW9 Polished Blue Pilot Hands
Beautiful hands, even if they didn't work for me initially.

I originally bought these for a SKX011 build with silver dial and chapter ring, as well as a blue bezel insert (Pic included for reference). After installing them onto the dial and into the watch it became apparent the second hand was near unreadable. So that idea was scrapped, before i even installed chapter ring and insert! LOL So i had this old dark matte blue SKX009 dial laying around as well as a spare 7s26 and a Seiko 5 SNXS73 case. I absolutely love it! Looks best IRL, but added a few pics for your consideration. The quality of these is excellent and the blue lume, although not as bright as green does last quite a while. Can see them glowing away whilst bedside. Although not heat blued, they glow with an amazing radiance. Even if the dial is washed out with glare (no AR), the hands glow with a shimmering brilliance that makes them easy to read. I think its a keeper, and a little different as well.

Wonderful hands and great service!

Very happy with this purchase. High quality and fitted my Seiko SNK809 perfectly. They have longer hands where the minutes and seconds hands reach the minute indicies, something the originals did not do. A very friendly and polite seller aswell, who kept me informed throughout the process (I had the hands sent to Sweden).

Decent dial and hands

The face is a perfect copy of type A flieger watch. The minute hand reaches the minute indexes properly, fulfilling great legibility. The positioning of Arabic indexes is perfectly done. The hands are not thermally blued, but they still look nice. Although the lume looks nice at the beginning, it only lasts for few hours.

Overall, I am satisfied with these products. It fulfilled my desire for flieger watch. I am also happy for the good service while having a deal.

Thank you Jun for the honest review!! The best way to charge a lume is under direct sunlight for 10 minutes. Even though it can last 8 hours, there will be a gradual decrease in brightness. This applies to all luminous pigments. As for heated blue hands, this had been something we originally endeavoured to do. Unfortunately, the price for these type of hands skyrocket. They are at the very least 3 times the price of the current electroplated method. Reason being, bluing is an extremely time-consuming process due to process and stages of preparation. Every piece is painstakingly done by hand. There are many things that can go wrong that results in an imperfect blue. Making 100 pieces, does not mean 100 pieces will pass our quality check stage. A lot had to be thrown away due to difficulty making them, different shades of blue and quality check. All of these result in a very costly final product. Of course, if interested parties are willing to fork out over a hundred bucks for blue heated hands, we will gladly make them. =)
